This Cookie Policy explains how GPGA Technologies, Inc., operating the Trusti brand, uses cookies, local storage, pixels and similar technologies on trustiscore.com and related Trusti web experiences.
It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
Trusti web experiences may use technologies that store, access or process information on or from your browser or device. These may include cookies, local storage, pixels or tags, browser or session storage and similar technologies used for security, authentication, preferences, analytics or campaign measurement.
Some technologies are necessary for Trusti to function. Others are optional and are used according to the choices available through our privacy controls.
Essential technologies
Essential technologies support functions required to operate or secure Trusti and cannot be disabled through the Trusti Cookie Preferences center.
They may be used to:
- remember your language;
- remember your cookie and privacy selections;
- maintain security or fraud-prevention state;
- support forms and service functionality;
- preserve appropriate session or authentication information; and
- maintain other functions necessary to provide a service you request.
Examples of Trusti local-storage preferences may include trusti_language and trusti_consent_v3.
Trusti subdomains or service providers supporting authentication, security or other requested functionality may also use essential session or security technologies.
Analytics
When you authorize Analytics through our privacy controls, Trusti web experiences may use analytics technologies to help us understand visits and traffic, navigation and interactions, technical performance, referral sources, conversions and how Trusti experiences can be improved.
Depending on the provider and configuration, analytics information may include browser or device information, approximate location derived from technical information, referral information, interaction events and similar usage information.
Trusti currently uses Google Analytics in certain web experiences where it has been configured. Those Trusti implementations are designed to load Google Analytics only after the applicable Analytics preference has been authorized.
Marketing and campaign measurement
Trusti may support optional marketing or campaign-measurement technologies.
When such technologies are configured and you authorize the applicable Marketing preference, they may be used to measure campaign effectiveness, understand campaign conversions, attribute visits to campaigns or support relevant audiences or remarketing where enabled.
The presence of a Marketing option in the Trusti preference center does not necessarily mean that a marketing provider is currently active.
A marketing or advertising technology is not intended to activate merely because the preference exists. Both the applicable user choice and the relevant configured functionality or provider must be present.
Your choices and withdrawing consent
When Trusti presents a cookie or privacy banner, you may be able to accept optional technologies, reject optional technologies or configure Analytics and Marketing separately.
You can later review or change these choices through “Cookie preferences” in the Trusti footer.
Changing your preference does not necessarily remove browser storage or cookies that were previously created. You can also use your browser settings to inspect or delete stored cookies and website data.
When you withdraw authorization for an optional category, Trusti uses the updated preference for subsequent optional processing in accordance with the privacy controls implemented for the applicable Trusti experience.
Global Privacy Control and browser signals
Some browsers or extensions can transmit privacy preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC).
Where applicable law requires GPGA to recognize a supported GPC signal as an opt-out request concerning sale, sharing or targeted advertising, Trusti will process that signal according to the requirements applicable to the relevant browser or device.
GPC generally operates at the browser or device level and may not communicate an individual’s identity across different browsers or devices.
Browser Do Not Track signals are not implemented uniformly across the internet. You may continue to control optional Trusti technologies through Cookie Preferences and applicable browser controls.
Providers and duration
Essential technologies
Essential storage may persist only for a session or for longer periods where necessary to remember settings such as language or privacy choices.
Its duration may change when you modify a setting, clear browser data, the applicable storage expires or Trusti changes the underlying functionality.
Analytics
Where enabled and authorized, analytics providers may maintain their own cookies or identifiers according to the configuration used by GPGA and the provider’s applicable terms and privacy documentation.
Marketing
We will identify material marketing or advertising providers when those providers are actually configured for use in Trusti web experiences.
A provider will not be described as active merely because Trusti contains integration code or a preference option for possible future use.
Third-party providers may process information under their own privacy terms in addition to the contractual or configuration controls used by GPGA.
Updates and contact
We may update this Cookie Policy when Trusti technologies change, a material provider is activated or replaced, our consent architecture changes, legal requirements change or additional disclosure becomes appropriate.
When we update this Policy, we will post the revised version and update its effective date.
